When you first start out in martial arts you probably won’t need any sparring gear. It takes some practice and a bit of time before you will be able to enjoy the distinct pleasure that comes from testing your skills on a live opponent. When you do finally get into sparring, you need to have the proper equipment.

Head gear is one of the most important pieces of equipment to have when you are finally sparring. The annoying thing about head gear, though, is that it is very uncomfortable. Century, a well-known martial arts company, has been making head gear for a long time and has manufactured some of the best, most comfortable head gear that the sport has ever seen. The 7/8” dipped foam headgear has an opened face design, which allows for great visibility while still protecting your head from harm. There is a 1 ½” wide hook and loop chin strap to keep the head gear where it is supposed to be, and the pressure release holds on the ears keep you comfortable. It comes in black, red, blue, white, and pink.
